Ben Turk - Gloryhammer

Ben is an official endorser of Dream Cymbals in the UK.

Ben Turk is the drummer for Heroic Fantasy Power Metal band Gloryhammer, founded by Christopher Bowes of Alestorm. A battle-hardened veteran of the UK underground rock & metal scene, he studied music production at the Academy of Contemporary Music, and contributed not only drumming but vocal and orchestral arrangements to Gloryhammer's acclaimed 2013 debut 'Tales from the Kingdom of Fife'.

In addition he has performed live as a guitarist, bassist and thereminist, and released two self-produced albums under the 'Ben & Amy' moniker (a collaboration with his sister Amy, a classically-trained harpist, composer, and keyboard player), that have received a cult following, airplay on BBC radio and praise from industry insiders including co-writer of 'Video Killed The Radio Star' Bruce Woolley and award-winning music journalist Simon Price.

He is also a founder member of the Post War Orchestra, an ensemble formed by artist Hilary Champion that plays instruments made from deactivated weapons and other military paraphernalia.

Ben runs a private teaching practice for drum students of all ages.
