RMV was founded in 1975 and has become known for quality instruments made from wood and metal. The traditional Brasilian instruments use a unique tuning system which works really well. RMV has become famous for the quality of their drum heads which they produce for Samba and conventional drums.
The factory near São Paulo also produces kit drums to a high and unique quality.

RMV make fine, light and loud Samba instruments. They have just
developed a new range of short and smaller Surdos for younger players.
